Modern chinese : beginner's course reading comprehension
MODERN CHINESE-Beginner's Course has been designed as a course in elementary Modern Standard Chinese (putonghua) for the use of foreign learners. The Course consists of a general course book (3 volumes), Chinese Character Workbook, Reading Comprehension and Listening (3 volumes). There is also an ac- companying set of cassette recordings.
The course is fashioned in a clear, concise and practical way so as to maintain the learner's interest, systematically introducing the learner to everyday, practical Chinese. It may be employed either for classroom use or as a self-teaching manual for private study.
This course has been compiled by the Beijing Language and Culture University, and is jointly published by the BLCU Press and Sinolingua.
