The project discussed about assimilation in the data research album "Come On Over" sung by Shania Twain. I assumed that there happens regressive assimilation which is uttered by the singer. In order to prove my assumption, I
conducted the research on assimilation in general.
I discussed some theories, concepts and ideas concerning regressive and progressive assimilation, regressive assimilation in the place of articulation of alveolar and bilabial, and the methodology of the research in details.
I analyzed the assimilation found in the album "Come On Over", which is sung by Shania Twain. The findings proved that my assumption was true, i.e., there happen regressive assimilations which are uttered by Shania Twain in her album
"Come On Over.
