Cultural word is one of problems that every translator might be found in the world of translation, especially for fiction works. It becomes reflection of the cultural and social living in a certain society. Since every society has different culture, translating cultural word is not an easy thing but not impossible to solve. In this research, writer
try to analyze cultural word translation from Source Language (SL) to Target Language (TL) and to find strategies that used by translat and also to prove that cultural word translation from SL to TL applies transposition and modulation procedures and shift meaning. Moreover; writer use qualitative method which is the method to gather data to be analyzed, in this case the text of literature work from the novel'A Little Princess' by Frances Hodgson Burnett as a primary source and other books related to the theory, concept and relevant definition as secondary source.
